Members of this duo started their relationship in 1996, but both of them are playing since late 80’s - Raitis started DJ-ing in 1988 and AG in 1989. They are true pioneers of the Latvian dance scene, who still continue rockin' the groove.

Both of them started their careers as tape-jockeys, mixing so called "black dance music" – House, Hiphop and Electro at school parties. In mid 90’s they switched from tapemachines to turntables, got involved in rave movement and were doin’ underground dance parties. 2001 was comin' with serious re-turn to Hiphop things alongside deejayin' & jammin' with MCs & breakdancers at numerous events. Mixmasters started a project called Hiphop LV that brings together Hiphop and latvian folklore.

Right now Mixmasters are residents of legendary club „Pulkvedim Neviens Neraksta”, House-place „Hedonia-55” and cafe „Cuba” - as well playin’ in many different clubs & events in homeland and abroad. They have performed alongside many internalionally known artists.

AG ja Raitis alustasid koos tegutsemist 1996. aastal, kuid mõlemad neist on aktiivselt muusikat mänginud juba hilistest 80ndatest saadik – Raitis alustas oma dj karjääri 1988. ja AG 1989. aastal. See teeb neist Läti tantsuareeni tõelised pioneerid, kes endiselt jätkavad gruuvimist.

Mõlemad nad alustasid oma dj karjääri miksides musta tantsumuusikat nagu house, hiphop ja elektro, koolipidudel. 90-ndate keskel hakkasid kasutama vinüülplaadimängijaid, liitusid rave-liikumisega ning korraldasid underground tantsupidusid. 2001. aastal pöördusid AG&Raitis tagasi hiphopi juurde, esinedes koos MC-de ja breiktantsijatega lugematutel üritustel. Mixmasters pani aluse projektile nimega Hiphop LV, mis ühendab hiphoppi ja Läti folkloori.
